Edna F. Buttray, 83, a resident of Wesbury since April 1991, formerly of Cochranton, died Thursday, January 16, 1997 at Wesbury following a period of declining health.
She was born August 9, 1913 in Rundletown, PA, a daughter of the late Irven S. and Minnia S. (Dorbritz) Rockwell. She married Donald I. Buttray March 23, 1935. He preceded her in death September 24, 1981.
She was a graduate of Meadville High School and a member of the First Baptist Church and its KJU Sunday school class. She also was a homemaker.
Survivors, include a daughter, Mrs. James (Lynn) Duncan of Fort Lauderdale, FL; a son, Jeffrey M. Buttray of Detroit; a sister, Irene Coulter of Meadville; seven grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Irven Buttray.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
