Edna K. Spohr

Mrs. Edna K. Spohr, 82, of Meadville, widow of J. Arthur Spohr, died Sunday, October 26, 1980, at United Methodist Nursing Home and Hospital following a two month illness.

She was born in Union Township, June 2, 1898, a daughter of Daniel C. and Cora Reitze Klippil.  She married Spohr on September 1, 1921.  He died November 25, 1970.

She was a member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ and its Ladies Aid Society.  She was a 50-year member and past officer of Trinity Shrine, White Shrine of Jerusalem, a member of Golden Crown Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star, Meadville YWCA, the Ladies Advisory Committee of City Hospital and Aux. 2, Charles Stafford American Legion.  She was a 1916 graduate of Meadville Commercial College.

She is survived by a son, Dr. D. Arthur Spohr of Washington DC and a daughter, Mrs. Paul (Esther) Menster of South Euclid, OH and seven grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
