Edna S. Evans

Mrs. Edna S. Evans, 90, of Meadville, widow of Donald Evans, died after a brief illness Sunday, January 14, 1979, at the United Methodist Nursing Hospital where she had been a resident since June 1975.
She was born in Sugar Lake, Wayne Township, June 21, 1888, a daughter of David and Hattie Beers Smith. Evans died in 1958. She was a member of Park Congregational Church and Mead Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Kathleen) Derby of Meadville; a sister, Mrs. Donald (Georgia) Kinney of Spartansburg; two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Kingsley Cemetery.
