Edward E. Barris

Edward E. Barris, 60, of Meadville, died Wednesday, August 2, 2000, at Meadville Medical Center.

Born in St. Petersburg June 16, 1940, he was a son of Charles B. and Grace I. Klingensmith Barris.  He married Jeanne L. Wills March 14, 1964.  She survives.

He was afffiliated with St. Paul's United Church of Christ.

A 1958 graduate of Meadville High School, he attended Allegheny College and worked at Pennsylvania Tool and Gages for 35 years, retiring in May as a customer relations representative.

A member of Meadville Elks Lodge 219 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2006, he was a veteran of the US Army Reserves.  He enjoyed hunting, the outdoors and cooking, especially making fudge.

In addition to his wife of 36 years, survivors include his mother of Meadville; a daughter, Connie Dolan (Gerard, Jr.) of Columbia, NJ; three grandchildren, Gerard Thomas Dolan, III, Patrick Michael Dolan and Kelly Elizabeth Dolan; a sister, Shirley Reeger (Earl) of Meadville; an aunt and uncle.

Service were held at the Waid Funeral Home.
