Edward J. Hanks

Edward J. Hanks, Sr., 74, of Meadville, died Saturday, December 15, 1979, at the Mead Nursing Home where he had been a resident for three years.
He was born in Guys Mills September 22, 1905, son of George and Alice Girard Hanks. He married Mildred F. Lasher, January 21, 1927, and she died February 9, 1977.
He was a driver on a bread route for the former Hatheway Bakery for many years.
Hanks is survived by a daughter, Elaine of Meadville; a son, Edward J. Jr. of Cambridge Springs; a sister, Mrs. Herbert (Ethel) Micheau of Erie; two brothers, Harry and Arthur of Erie; two granddaughters and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Edinboro Cemetery.
