Edward J. Miller

Edward J. Miller, 95, of Zephyrhills, FL, died at Hospice of Dade City, FL, Saturday, April 15, 2000.

He was born in Oakland Township, Venango County, PA, February 4, 1905, a son of Frank C. and Julia Jeffords Miller.  He first married Dora Emma Smith June 15, 1929, and she died October 3, 1956.  He then married Dora Alice Miller, November 16, 1957, and she survives.

He retired as Baker after 41 years of employment with Flickinger Co.; Dunn's Bakery of Meadville; Meadville Bread Co.; for 31 of those years, and retired from Hathaway Bakery of Youngstown, OH.

He was a member of Victory Baptist Church of Zephyrhills, the Pennsylvania Club of Zephryhills and a former member of First Christian Church of Meadville.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Doris Weber Grabenstetter of Madeira Beach, FL and Lois J. Haddenham of Hubbard, OH; a nephew whom he raised, Russell George Smith of Meadville; eight grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren; a sister, Ila Albert of Titusville; two brothers, Charles R. Miller of Greenville and Virgil H. Miller of North Hampton, NH.

In addition to his first wife, his was preceded in death by a sister, Twila Welms and two brothers, Harvey and Melvin Miller.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Blooming Valley Cemetery.
