Elizabeth A. Christy

Elizabeth A. Christy, 72, of Conneaut Lake, died Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at UPMC Horizon, Greenville.

She was born March 26, 1937 in Titusville, a daughter of the late George and Rose Kelly Jacobs.  She married Clair G. Christy April 23, 1982.

Elizabeth was a 1954 graduaate of Colstock High School, Titusville and was employed at several area store in Meadville area as a receptionist and switchboard operator, most recently at the Walmart Supercenter, Meadville.

She was a member of New Beginning Church of God.

Survivors, in addition to her husband Clair of 27 years, include two daughters, Catherine Boyle (Jerry) of Townville and Margaret McCauley of Meadville; a son, Paul Hazlett (Debbie) of Frederick, MD; two step-daughters, Bonnie Malliard of Meadville and Brenda LaPorte (Jess) of Rochester, NY; a step-son, Paul Christy (Diane) of Conneaut Lake; eight grandchildren, Alicia Lee (Sang), Paul, Matthew and Benjamin Hazlett, Christopher Boyle, Amanda DeWeese (Randle), Brian McCauley (Desiree) and Jessica McCauley; a step-granddaughter, Chelsea Conser; a step-grandson, Paul Christy; two great-grandchildren, Christian and Summer McCauley; a sister, Rose Deemer (Al) of Deltona, FL; a brother, George Jacobs (Barbara) of Baldwinsville, NY; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, John Jacobs and an infant brother.

Services were held at Waid-Coleman Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
