Elizabeth L. Baxter

Elizabeth L. (Betty) Baxter, 81, of Conneaut Lake, died Wednesday, August 18, 2004, at Meadville Medical Center following an unexpected illness. She was born in Pittsburgh June 6, 1923, a daughter of the late Herbert and Norma Criswell Forse. She married John F. T. Baxter in 1940 and he preceded her in death in 1973. She was a graduate of the Pittsburgh area public schools. She was a homemaker and an active member of Fifth Street Presbyterian Church, Conneaut Lake. She was a member of the Meadville YWCA, enjoyed reading, and especially loved her family, friends and flowers. Survivors include a daughter, Norma Jean Baxter of Conneaut Lake; two sons, Kevin M. Baxter (Patricia) of Linesville and Lorin A. Baxter of Meadville; three grandchildren, Michaela, Christopher and Brendan Baxter; a brother, Herbert E. Forse, Jr. (Arlene) of Pittsburgh and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, John W. Baxter.
