Elizabeth Y. Cook, 81, of Meadville, a former Sewickley resident, died Wednesday, September 29, 1993 at Wesbury United Methodist Community.
She was born in Patna, Scotland, November 1, 1911, a daughter of Alexander S. and Elizabeth Hill Young. She married William S. Cook, February 3, 1937. He preceded her in death February 27, 1986. She was a member of Stone United Methodist Church, and a former member of Sewickley United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Mae) Stewart of Meadville; a brother, John H. Young of St. Petersburg, FL; two granddaughters, Mrs. Jefferson D. (Lynne) Herrman of Lynnfield, MA and Mrs. Gregory S. (Karen) Mitton of Allentown, PA; and a great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a sister, May McCrorie.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Sewickley Cemetery.
