Emily P. Sexton

Emily P. Sexton, 78, formerly of Mt. Hope and a resident of Wesbury United Methodist Community since 1995, died there, Thursday, November 20, 1997 following a period of declining health.

She was born April 8, 1919 in Denbo, PA, a daughter of the late Matthew and Juliana Kavalik Wybrail.  She married Francis H. Sexton April 13, 1936.  He survives.

She was a homemaker, member of Mt. Hope United Methodist Church, member of Aux. to NW Commandery #25 and a former member of Mt. Hope and Randolph Granges.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a son, F. Leroy Sexton (Shirley) of Myrtle Beach, SC; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Sally) Bickerstaff of Brookville; three sisters, Martha Harry of Meadville, Frances Yanc of Meadville and Mary Huzinec of Erie; three brothers, Robert Wybiral of Wattsburg, Thomas Wybiral of Meadville and Walter Wybiral of Texas; five grandchildren, Lori Chesnoski, Brenda Teed, Jana, Gary and Rene Rickerstaff and four great-grandchildren, Jonathan and Christian Teed and Luke and Mark Paul Bickerstaff.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Hoegerl.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
