Emma M. Nixon

Mrs. Emma M. Nixon, 88, who had resided at the Crawford County Home since February 1969, died at the home early Monday morning, May 19, 1975, after a long illness.

She was born in Meadville on July 18, 1886, a daughter of Jacob and Martha Frost Deitsch.  On August 20, 1927, she married Elmer F. Nixon who died in 1959.  Mrs. Nixon did private duty as a practical nurse in the area for many years.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. William (Ruth) Higgins of Avon Lake, OH; two nieces, Mrs. John Kightlinger of Meadville and Mrs. Elizabeth Alderdyce of LaGrange, IL; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
