Emma George Shirk

Mrs. Emma George Shirk, 84, of Meadville, died at Spencer Hospital Monday, morning at 7 o'clock, after two-weeks illness.  She was the widow of George W. Shirk, who died some 40 years ago.

Mrs. Shirk spent her early life in Milledgeville and formerly was a member of the Cochranton Methodist Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Winifred Roche of Meadville; two granddaughters, Mrs. Basil J. Faivre and Mrs. Robert W. Kingston, both of Meadville; two great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Charles Miller of Warren, PA, Mrs. C. H. McClintock of Elwood City, Mrs. A. G. Turner of Conneautville and Mrs. Richard Hill of Milledgeville.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
