Ernest A. Nagel

Ernest A. Nagel, 91, of Meadville, died Wednesday, June 3, 1987, at Meadville Medical Center following a brief illness.
Mr. Nagel was born in Fredonia, July 13, 1895, a son of Herman and Louisa Burkley Nagel. He married Nelle Moore, who preceded him in death June 7, 1984.
He retired as an engineer from Erie-Lackwanna Railroad Co. after 44 years of service. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2006, Meadville. He was an honorary member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers. He was a World War I veteran.
Survivors include one son, James H. Nagel of Meadville; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
