Esther Hutchinson Hill

January 15, 1922 — November 19, 2000

Esther Hutchinson Hill, 78, of Saegertown, died Sunday, November 19, 2000, at Meadville Medical Center.

She was born in West Mead Township, January 15, 1922, a daughter of Millard E. and Edna Shaffer Clark.  She married Lester Hutchinson January 15, 1943, and he preceded her in death July 21, 1974.  She then married Kenneth W. Hill November 23, 1979, and he died March 19, 2000.

She was a 1940 graduate of Meadville High School and had been employed in the Crawford County Register and Recorder's Office for 43 years, the last 8 years as Register and Recorder, retiring in 1987.

An active member of the Littles Corner community, she was a 48 year member of the Littles Corners United Methodist Church, its United Methodist Women, a former Sunday School Teacher, served on various church committees, and served as the church organist at one time.  She was a member of Lakeland Grange and a 50-year member of the PA State Grange.  She was also a Life Member of the Hayfield Volunteer Fire Department Aux.

Survivors include a daughter, Edna Rae Felmlee (Gary) of Oakley, CA; a son, Millard L. Hutchinson (Nancy) of Saegertown; two grandsons, Michael Felmlee (Danyle) and Brain Felmlee; five step-grandchildren, Patricia Ramos-Long, Theresa Long, John Long, Brenda Rotunda and Melissa Blair; six step-great-grandchildren; a sister, Marian Humes of Meadville; a brother, A. Millard Clark of Meadville; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mildred Myers and Edna Huckelbury; three brothers, Myron, Clyde and F. Wray Clark, and one step-great-grandchild.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
