Esther Salen Kidder

Mrs. Esther Salen Kidder, 44, wife of LaVern Kidder, of Meadville, died Monday afternoon at Spencer Hospital following a long illness.

A graduate of the New Richmond schools, Cambridge Springs High School and Edinboro State Teachers' College, Mrs. Kidder had lived most of her life in the New Richmond area.  For 20 years, she was a teacher in the public schools of Richmond and Randolph townships.

She was a member of New Richmond Methodist Church and of Richmond Grange.

She is survived by her husband, LaVern Kidder; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bert C. Salen of Cambridge Springs and three brothers, Devere D. Salen of Wesleyville, Joseph L. of Cambridge Springs and Theodore R. Salen of North East.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Townley Cemetery.
