It is with absolute profound sadness and with deepest regret that Ethan Daniel Guthrie 17, of Greenville PA, set out on his last adventure on his custom-built motor bike and tragically passed away on Saturday April 25, 2026.

Ethan was born in Grove City, PA, November 28, 2008 to Randy R. “Jake” Guthrie, Jr. and Candise Morrison. He was a student at Reynolds Junior-Senior High School.

Ethan was always adventurous. He enjoyed the great outdoors, you could find him fishing, or swimming with his family and friends and if you didn't find him in one of his spots you could bet he was probably riding a trail somewhere on a motor bike that he built from the ground up! Ethan also enjoyed spending time building RC cars with his dad, and going with him to Big Dog RC, where Ethan would always try and convince Jake to buy more cars, or parts!

He loved meeting new people and helping those in need. Ethan was very kind hearted, he was always chatting with people and genuinely cared for those he encountered. Since his passing his family has received many messages from strangers telling them of how they met (or knew) Ethan. All of them sharing a story of how he was kind to them, or helped them, or just genuinely put a smile on their face. Ethan will be deeply missed by those who knew loved and him.

Ethan was the beloved brother of Tyler (Chloe) Guthrie of Sandy Lake, PA, Brittany Guthrie of Mercer PA, Blade Guthrie, Bentley Guthrie and Camdon Guthrie all of Greenville. He also shared a very special brotherly bond with his first-born nephew, Braxton Guthrie.

Ethan adored his niece and nephew OakLeigh Mae and Walker Lane Guthrie.

He is survived by his parents, Randy R. “Jake” and Candise Guthrie, Jr., of Greenville, his grandparents: Randy R. Guthrie, Sr. of Jackson Center, Patricia Morrison of Grove City, Mark Perrine of Greenville, and a great-grandmother, Sadie Arnold. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins, as well as members of the Benthall family.

He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Margaret M. Guthrie, his uncle, Donald Mark Alan Perrine, his cousin, Samantha Coast, along with many other friends and family members.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Rose and Black Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. of 99 Frankin Street, Stoneboro where family and friends are welcome to a time of celebrating the life of Ethan on Friday, May 1, 2026 from 3PM-5PM.
