Eugene C. Hilkert, 67, of Saegertown, died Wednesday, May 4, 1988, at Meadville Medical Center following a lengthy illness.
He was born in Canton, OH, January 4, 1921, a son of Carl E. and Alice L. Gallatin Hilkert. He married Evelyn L. Leuschner May 17, 1948. She survives.
He retired as a chemical sales representative from Arco Chemical Co., Detroit, MI. He was a member of St. Brigid Roman Catholic Church and the church's Holy Name Society. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the US Army. He was a member of Meadville Kiwanis Club.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a son, Carl H. Hilkert of Cambridge Springs; three daughters, Mrs. Gary (Margaret) Belan of Herndon, VA, Mrs. Lynne (Barbara) Beck of Pittsburgh and Patricia Cookson of Meadville; his mother, Alice Hilkert of Meadville and five grandchildren.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
