Eulah F. Crump

Eulah F. Crump, 87, of Meadville, died Wednesday, October 25, 2000 at Wesbury Methodist Retirement Community.  She was born December 7, 1912 in Diamond, WV, a daughter of the late Louis H. and Charlotte J. Wilson McNeal.  She married Arthur R. Crump March 6, 1932 and he survives.

She was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School, Point Pleasant, WV.  She was a homemaker.  She was a member of Order of Eastern Star, Anna O. Young Chapter #28, Pikeville, KY and Rebekkah Lodge of Sistersville, WV.  She was a former Cub Scout Den Mother, Blue Bird Leader with Camp Fire Girls of America, and Parent Teacher Assoc. mother.  During World War II, she was a supervisor of volunteers who rolled bandages.

She was a member of Stone United Methodist Church, its United Methodist Women Assoc., and for many years worked at the church rummage sales and dinners.  She was a former member of the Pikeville, KY United Methodist Church and its church circle.  Her hobbies included restoration of dolls to their former condition.  She had a great passion for children and she was known for writing letters of encouragement to family and friends.

Survivors, in addition to her husband of 68 years, include a son, Roger M. Crump (Karen) of Meadville; a daughter, Sarah F. Crumo of Chardon, OH; five grandchildren, Brian E. Crump of West Monroe, LA, Angela D. Kidner (Edward) of Timonium, MD, and Judson R., Charlotte E. and Hayley F. Brown, all of Chardon, OH; and two half-brothers, Arthur D. Sayre of Akron, OH and Ralph W. Sayre of Parkersburg, WV.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Louis H. McNeal, Jr. and Phillip E. McNeal.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
