Eva Smith Chase

Mrs. Eva Smith Chase, 88, of Meadville, died Sunday, December 22, 1957, at City Hospital following an illness of six weeks.

A native of Blooming Valley, she was a daughter of Laban and Miranda Shontz Smith.  She was married to Oran Chase who preceded her in death.

She was a member of Meadville Christian and Missionary Alliance Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Mae Earll (Fay) of Meadville and Dorothy Soleida (Joseph) of San Diego, CA; two sons, Joseph A. of Meadville and Donald W. of Meadville; five grandchildren; a great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
