Evelyn L. Bender

Evelyn L. Bender, 84, of Meadville, died Thursday, May 26, 1988 at Hillside Home.

She was born in Washington, PA, on October 16, 1903 a daughter of J. W. and Kathrine Brumley Hart.  She married Albert J. Bender.

She was a member of the Emmanuel United Church of Christ and its Esther Circle.  She was also a Sunday School Teacher at the church.

Survivors include two sons, Richard A. Bender of Gillette, NJ and Thomas J. Bender of Fairfax, VA; a sister, Eleanor Turben of Meadville; three brothers, Richard Hart of El Paso, TX, Alexander Hart of El Paso, TX and Joseph Hart of Waynesburg, PA; and three grandchildren.

Services were held at Robert W. Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
