F. Brian Klinginsmith, 74, of Conneaut Lake, passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2020 following a courageous battle with Colon Cancer with his family by his side.
He was born August 10, 1946 in Meadville, a son of the late Donald C. and Norma G. Carrier Klinginsmith. He married Barbara A. Emerson October 29, 1967 and she survives.
Brian was a 1964 graduate of Conneaut Lake High School. He worked for Automatic Electric Company, was a partner in Klinginsmith Excavating and Black Oak Construction and was owner and manager of Klinginsmith Enterprises.
Brian was a member of Masonic Pine Lodge 498 Linesville, New Castle Consistory, Zem Zem Shrine Club and the Conneaut Lake Sportsmens Association. A kind and generous man, Brian enjoyed spending time with people, traveling, shopping and outdoor hobbies.
Survivors, in addition to his loving wife Barb, include a son, Brian Eric Klinginsmith of Conneaut Lake; a daughter, Chandra Moss (Albert) of Linesville; four grandchildren, Stevie Klinginsmith (fiancé Frank Gargiulo), Sarah Moss (fiancé Jonathan Hoffman), Brian Moss (Isabella) and Timothy Moss; three great-grandchildren, Katelynn Wheeler and Abigail and Amelia Hoffman; a brother, Ronald Klinginsmith (Susan) of Summerville, SC; three sisters, Dolores Baker (David) of Conneaut Lake, Sharon Ferguson of Meadville and Marsha Smith (Tom) of Canadohta Lake; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Friday, August 14th from 3 to 7 p.m. at WAID-COLEMAN FUNERAL HOME, 12422 CONNEAUT LAKE RD., CONNEAUT LAKE where CDC guidelines for the wearing of masks is requested. A masonic service will be at 6:45 p.m. and the funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Matt Rendulic officiating.
Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
