Fern E. Cox
March 2, 1921 — June 23, 1978
Mrs. Fern E. Cox, 57, wife of Lawrence Cox of Guys Mills, died at Spencer Hospital Friday, June 23, 1978, after a short illness.
She was born in Tryonville on March 2, 1921, a daughter of Dewey L. and Julia Clark Lingo. She married Cox on November 22, 1939. Mrs. Cox was employed in the food service department of the United Methodist Nursing Home and Hospital and was a member of HETFSS, a food service employees group.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Larry L. and John K. of Guys Mills; her mother, a patient at the United Methodist Nursing Hospital; a sister, Mrs. Howard (Mary Lou) Johnston of Meadville; a brother, Ladd V. Lingo of Meadville and five grandchildren.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
