Florence Gertrude Mcfadden

Mrs. Florence Gertrude McFadden, 58, wife of Forest L. McFadden of Guys Mills, died at her home Tuesday, September 1, 1959, following a brief illness.

She was born October 6, 1900, a daughter of the Rev. William H. and Carrie Billings Garnett.  She married McFadden on September 12, 1922.

Mrs. McFadden was a member of Guys Mills Congregational Church.  She graduated from Randolph and Bessemer High Schools and attended West Virginia Wesleyan College.  She was a member of Randolph Grange.

Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Mrs. Richard C. (Virginia) Proper of Guys Mills, Maxine and Norma, at home; a son, William F. of Guys Mills; two brothers, her twin, Lawrence Garnett of South Dayton, NY and Herbert C. Garnett of Centerville; eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Union Cemetery, Guys Mills.
