Florence M. Beardsley

Florence M. Beardsley, 83, of West Mead Township, Meadville, died Saturday, January 2, 1988, at Rolling Fields Nursing Home, Conneautville, following a lengthy illness.

Mrs. Beardsley was born in Meadville, June 3, 1904, a daughter of William and Myrtle Eastlake Gretter.  She married Clayton Beardsley in 1923.  He preceded her in death July 1, 1969.

She was an active volunteer nurses aid with American Red Cross during World War II.  She was a member of First Christian Church.

Survivors include one son, Frank Beardsley of Citrus Heights, CA; three sisters, Mrs. Velma Beardsley of Meadville, Margaret Hamilton of Saegertown and Mary Terry of Meadville; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandsons; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by a daughter, June Beerbower.

Services were held at Robert W. Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
