Floyd E. Johnston

Floyd E. Johnston, 74, of Saegertown, was dead on arrival at Spencer Hospital Saturday, April 26, 1969.

He was born in Woodcock Township on March 14, 1895, a son of George and Catherine Powell Johnston.  He married Grace Flick on February 7, 1917.  Mr. Johnston was a pipe fitter at the American Viscose Corp. until his retirement in 1960.  He was a member of Woodcock Lodge of Odd Fellows and Blooming Valley Volunteer Fire Department.

Survivors include his widow; two daughters, Mrs. James (Thelma) Cousins of Erie and Mrs. Dale (Shirley) Putt of Blooming Valley; three sisters, Mrs. Dalton (Lola) Kingsley of Blooming Valley, Mrs. Ernest (Gladys) Ellis of Saegertown and Mrs. John (Margery) Waylo of Conneautville; a brother, Almon Johnston of Meadville; several foster children; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Blooming Valley Cemetery.
