Ford M. Bailey

Ford M. Bailey, 67, of Guys Mills, died Tuesday, June 7, 1977, after a long illness at Mead Nursing Home.

Born in Cochranton March 8, 1910, he was a son of Guy A. and Hazel Swogger Bailey.  He married Nancy E. Robbins January 17, 1934.  She died in February 1977.  A tool and die maker at Talon Division of Textron for 35 years, he took disability retirement in 1969.  A member of International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, he was also a member of Meadville Eagles Aerie and Randolph-East Mead Volunteer Fire Department and was a former member of West Mead 2 Volunteer Fire Department.

Survivors include:  three sons, Ford J. Bailey of North Springfield, Francis P. Bailey of Woodbridge, VA and Joseph C. Bailey of Lake City; a sister, Mrs. Eva Martin of Bakersfield, CA; seven grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.

Services were held at Robert W. Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
