Frances E. Mccrea

Frances E. McCrea of Meadville, and formerly of Oil City, died Wednesday, April 26, 2000 at the Meadville Medical Center following a short illness.

She was born in Oil City, a daughter of the late Col. Earle D. and Lois M. Stanely McCrea.

Miss McCrea was a graduate of Oil City High School and Allegheny College.  She was employed by Talon in Meadville before retiring.  She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church of Oil City.

Survivors include a brother, Earle D. McCrea of Cedar Falls, IA; two sisters, Ruth M. Gordon of Lakewood, NY and Jean M. Moore of Jamestown, NY and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, John W. McCrea and a sister, Dorothy M. McCrea.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Sunset Hills Memorial Gardens.
