Fred L. Houser

April 8, 1862 — January 1, 1753

Fred L. Houser, 82, widely-known farmer who had spent his entire life in the community, died Saturday evening at his home in Vernon Township following several months of failing health.

He was a member of Stone Methodist Church, where he was a charter member of the Men's Bible Class.  His wife, the late Jennie Sloan Houser, died two years ago.

He leaves four children, Miss Marguerite Houser, at home, Mrs. Marion Hout of Vernon Township, Mrs. Wesley G. Reitze and John A. Houser, both of Union Township; a brother, John J. Houser of Keystone Heights, FL; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Henry Houser of Meadville and four grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Watson's Run Cemetery.
