Frederick W. Seyerle

Fredrick W. Seyerle, 77, formerly of Pittsburgh and a resident of Espyville, died Saturday, October 11, 2003 at UPMC Horizon, Greenville.

He was born in Pittsburgh March 26, 1926, a son of the late George and Mary Wimler Seyerle.  He married Betty F. Stroop November 25, 1946.

He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II.  He worked at Pinkerton Motors, Pittsburgh and subsequently worked at the Pittsburgh Port Authority as a bus driver for 38 years, retiring in 1984.  He was a member of the American Legion Post 462, Linesville.  He enjoyed boating and fishing.

He was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Pittsburgh and attended Espyville United Methodist Church.

Survivors, in addition to his wife of 46 years, include 2 daughters, Linda A. Newhams of McDonald and Donna L. Vetter and her husband Ronald of Pittsburgh; 4 grandchildren, Christine A. Mondin, David F. Bayens, Justin R. Vetter, and Christopher L. Vetter; 2 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Ruth Miller of Georgia and Helen Ryan of Pittsburgh; and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by 4 sisters; 2 brothers; and 2 nephews.

Calling hours are today (Monday) from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Harold W. Coleman Jr. Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Hwy 6, Linesville.

A funeral service will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Larry Cessna, Pastor of Espyville United Methodist Church officiating.

Burial will be in Espyville Cemetery.
