Gayle A. Britton

Gayle A. Britton, 80, a resident of United Methodist Home since February 1978, died Monday, July 27, 1981, at City Hospital following a period of failing health.
He was born in South Shenango Townhsip, March 22, 1901, a son of Harold E. and Wilhelmina Marshall Britton. He married Norma Fonner October 4, 1922. She died July 1, 1974.
He was self-employed as a farmer in South Shenango Township and was a member of Westford United Methodist Church, Espyville.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Joyce Thullen of Washington Crossing and Mrs. Frieda Piper of Arcadia, FL; a sister, Mrs. Marion New of Linesville; a brother, Raymond E. Britton of Greensburg; and several grandchildren.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Espyville Cemetery.
