Gene R. Heberling

Gene R. Heberling, 55, of Conneaut Lake, died Thursday, May 29, 2008 at the Meadville Medical Center.

He was born in Meadville, March 17, 1953 a son of Frank and Betty Neis Heberling.  He married Karen Wood, July 5, 1984 and she survives.

He worked at Eagle-Picher in Conneautville for 35 years.  He was a graduate of Conneaut Lake High School and was a member of Conneaut Lake Vol. Fire Dept. #3.  He loved camping, hunting and fishing and enjoyed reading westerns.  He also enjoyed growing tomatoes and creating his own sauces.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, Karen, include a son, Trevor Heberling and a daughter, Tori Heberling, both at home; a brother, Ron Heberling of Meadville and a sister, Janet Heberling.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Bruce Heberling.

Calling hours will be Monday from 6-8 p.m. at the Waid-Coleman Funeral Home, Inc., 12422 Conneaut Lake Road, Conneaut Lake.

The memorial service will follow Monday at 8 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Dave Brumagin, Assoc. Pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church, officiating.
