Genevieve J. Hoyt

Genevieve J. Hoyt, 77, a resident of the Crawford County Care Center, died Wednesday, June 12, 1996 at Meadville Medical Center following a period of declining health.

She was born in Meadville, July 12, 1918 a daughter of John and Bernice (Perry) Ellion.  She married C. Victor Hoyt, July 15, 1938.  He preceded her in death May 4, 1966.

She worked as a retail sales clerk for various local businesses for many years.  She also had worked in the experimental department at Talon.  She was a member of Pine Grove United Methodist Church and was a 1938 graduate of Randolph High School.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Lee (Alice) Brawley of Meadville and Mrs. Joseph (Bonita) Brown of Union City; a son, Dale E. Hoyt of Berwick; a sister, Gail Lewis of Keystone Heights, FL; ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Ellion.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Union Cemetery, Guys Mills.
