George Armburger

George Armburger, of Meadville, died Wednesday, May 27, 1953 at City Hospital following a long illness.  He was 86.

He was born in Wayne Township, Crawford County, PA on July 12, 1866,  a son of Jacob and Elizabeth Kebort Armburger.  He married the former Mina Hanks.  She died August 4, 1943.

A retired farmer, he had spent most of his life in the Sugar Lake area.  He had lived with his daughter, Mrs. Howard DuPont, for the last nine years.  He was a member of Sugar Lake United Brethren Church.

Survivors, besides Mrs. DuPont, include a son, Clyde of Black Ash; a brother, Joseph of Chicago; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
