George H. Barickman

George H. Barickman, age 100, of Meadville, passed away Sunday morning August 10, 2025, in Juniper Village at Meadville.

He was born in Meadville on June 17, 1925, a son of Walter and Blanche (ReBrassier) Barickman. He was a 1943 graduate of St. Agatha High School and served his country in the United States Army, serving in Germany from 1950-1952.

He was a member of the Epiphany of the Lord Parish.

He was co-owner/operator of Barickman Block & Supply with his brother Victor for over 30 years. He was also the owner of rental properties in Meadville. In his younger years he enjoyed farming. Later in life he enjoyed working and renovating his rental properties. George was a very kind and giving man and was always willing to help anyone.

He is survived by a sister-in-law, Beverly Barickman of Meadville; two nephews, Joseph Barickman of Warren, OH, John Barickman (Brooke) of Uniontown, OH; and two great nephews, Andrew and Dean.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Victor Barickman.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at 1:30 PM in the Epiphany of the Lord Parish, St. Agatha Church, 353 Pine St. Meadville with Father Jeffery Lucas, officiating. Family and friends will be received on Thursday. August 14 from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM in ROSE AND WAID FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC., 581 Chestnut St, Meadville, PA, 16335. Burial will be in St. Agatha’s Cemetery.
