George C. Reitler

George C. Reitler, 76, formerly of York and Ford City and a resident of United Methodist Nursing Home and Hospital since December 1977, died at City Hospital, Sunday, December 13, 1981, following a sudden illness.

Mr. Reitler was born at Ford City September 8, 1905, a son of Herman C. and Alice Burrows Reitler.  He married Doris Campbell December 19, 1923.

He retired in 1967 from PPG Industries, where he was employed for 45 years as an accounting supervisor.  A member of Ford City United Methodist Chruch, he also was a member of Sheik Inah Lodge 256 of Crystal City, MO and Scottish Rite Bodies of St. Louis.

Survivors include his wife, a resident of United Methodist Home; a son, Richard C. of Delton, MI; nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Alyce Mae.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Worthington.
