George E. Nageotte

George E. Nageotte, 79, of Meadville, died Monday, January 27, 1975, at City Hospital following a sudden illness.

He was born in West Mead Township, August 17, 1895, a son of Milton and Louise Galmish Nageotte.  He married Alice M. Betts on June 20, 1921.  He retired in 1965 as a locomotive engineer for Erie Lackawanna Railway Co.  He was a member of First Christian Church and the church's men's Bible class; Masonic Lodge 408; Solomon Royal Arch Chapter 191; NW Commandery 25, Knights Templar; Zem Zem Shrine Temple of Erie; Erie Consistory; Crawford County Shrine Club; Crawford County Motor Patrol and Elks Lodge.

Survivors include his widow; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Hadden of Meadville; a son, Richard R. Nageotte of Woodbridge, VA; a nephew, Roy Mangan of Meadville; three nieces; twelve grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
