George W. Joel

George W. Joel, 66, of Meadville, was dead on arrival at Spencer Hospital after suffering a sudden illness at his home Wednesday, September 25, 1974.

A son of Isadore and Susie Joel, he was born at Rochester, NY, July 4, 1908.  He married Elizabeth Jackson, December 12, 1936.  A tool and die maker at Talon Division of Textron, he reitred in 1973.  He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.  A member of Crawford Masonic Lodge 234, he was a life member of Meadville Club; Fraternal Order of Eagles; Crawford County Firemen's Search and Recovery Scuba Team; a member of Local 110 International Assn. of Machinists and Aerospace Workers and a life-member and current president of Dick Volunteer Fire Department.

Surviving, in addition to his widow are a daughter Edith Joel of Meadville and a niece, Mrs. Marion Reeg of Rochester.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
