George L. Moore, Sr., 83, of Meadville, died Sunday, February 6, 1977, at the United Methodist Nursing Hospital where he had been a patient for one year.
He was born at Guys Mills, November 7, 1893, a son of George and Elizabeth Holmes Moore. He married Fannie L. Seaman June 7, 1916. She died in 1974.
Mr. Moore was a retired foreman for the former American Viscose Co. He was a member of Stone United Methodist Church; Crawford Masonic Lodge 234; Solomon Royal Arch Chapter 191; Northwestern Commandery, Knights Templar; Randolph Grange and Cussewago Lodge, IOOF.
Survivors include two sons, George L. Moore, Jr. of Niles, OH and Walter S. Moore of Marrietta, GA; four grandsons and one great-granddaughter.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Townville Cemetery.
