George R. Pavlik

George R. Pavlik, 68, of Meadville, died Friday, June 6, 1986, at his residence, following a lengthy illness.

He was born in McKeesport, July 10, 1917, a son of Michael and Mary Tomko Pavlik.  He married Naomi Boyle August 6, 1939.

Mr. Pavlik worked at Abex for 33 years and retired as a machinist in 1979.  He was also employed by Channellock Inc. for several years.  He was a 1936 graduate of Meadville High School and served in Merchant Marines for two years.  He was a well-known musician and played with Ray's Ramblers for many years.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Judy Lewis of Meadville; a son, Gene Pavlik of Conneaut Lake; two sisters, Mary Adikus of Meadville and Anna Lenigan of Saegertown; two brothers, Andy and John Pavlik, both of Meadville and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Wilma Steele and a brother, Michael Pavlik.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Dennys Cemetery.
