George S. Davenport

George S. Davenport, of Meadville, local insurance and real estate agency operator, died unexpectedly just before midnight Saturday, November 23, 1963, at his home.

He was born in Meadville, a son of Jacob McKiel and Eliza Woods Davenport, and married the former Blanche Garver on August 16, 1910.

He was a member of First Presbyterian Church and a life member of Masonic Lodge 408.  He was awarded his 50 year Masonic service embelm in January 1963.

At one time, Davenport was active in the Republican party and formerly was a Kawanis Club member.

Surviving, in addition to his widow, are two nieces and two nephews.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
