George T. Kirk

George T. Kirk, 76, of Saegertown, died Sunday, May 8, 1960, at his Richmond Township home after a long illness.

Kirk was born in Woodhull, Steuben County, NY, December 5, 1883, a son of Thomas and Adelaide Haynes Kirk.  He was a farmer and for many years operated a grocery store.  He married the former Belva Rodebush.  He was a member of Blooming Valley Methodist Church.

He is survived by his widow; three daughters, Doris of Saegertown, Mrs. Harry Burchard of Townville and Mrs. Goerge Held of Bainbridge, MD; seven sons, Rev. Arthur Kirk of Willard, OH, Lloyd George of Guys Mills, Elton and Theodore, both of Saegertown, Edwin of Hartford, CT, David of Butler, and Paul of Townville; a sister, Mrs. Earl Beatty of Union City; three brothers, Milton of Artesia, CA, Oscar of St. Petersburg, FL and Francis of Guys Mills; and twenty-three grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Blooming Valley Cemetery.
