Gilbert S. Gongaware

Gilbert S. Gongaware, 56, of Meadville, died Friday, August 20, 1965, at Spencer Hospital after a long illness.
He was born in Westmoreland County on September 10, 1908, a son of Jerry C. and Pearl Rose Gongaware has been self-employed as a trucker, prior to that time he was a farmer.
Surviving, in addition to his widow, are three daughters, Mrs. Ron (Maxine) Kuntz of Saegertown, Mrs. Rodney (Jacqueline) Briggs of Meadville and Miss Paula Gongaware of Meadville; six sons, Gilbert of Chicago, Gary of Meadville, Jerry of Cochranton, Barton of Meadville, Clifford of Saegertown, and Eugene, serving with the US Army. Mr. Gongaware is also survived by a brother, Jerry Clark Gongaware and eleven grandchildren.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
