Gladys N. Brown

Mrs. Gladys N. Brown, 56, of Meadville, secretary for State Farm Insurance Co. for the past 15 years, died at home Tuesday, May 24, 1966, of a sudden illness.

Mrs. Brown was a member of First Presbyterian Church, the Goldern Crown Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star and Meadville Bridge Assn.

She was born at Franklin, August 18, 1909, a daughter of John A. and Pearl Mosier Nadig.  She married Lauren F. Brown October 11, 1941.

Prior to moving to Meadville, Mrs. Brown was employed as a secretary with the Joy Manufacturing Co., Franklin.  She was a graduate of Franklin High School and Welsh's Business College at Oil City.

Besides her husband, survivors include a son, Jack E. Vorhies of Phoenix, AZ; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Nadig, Sr. of Franklin; a brother, John Nadig, Jr, also of Franklin; and five grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Entombment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Mausoleum.
