Glennie Sell

Glennie Sell, 97, formerly of Meadville and a patient at Spring Manor Care Center, Cambridge Springs, since June 1985, died Wednesday, March 15, 1989, at the center following a brief illness.

She was born in Jamestown, NY, September 11, 1891, a daughter of Charles J. and Carrie Lyons Saunders.  She married William F. Snodgrass.  She subsequently married the Rev. Earl D. Sell, who preceded her in death in 1965.

She was a house mother at the former Odd Fellows Home for several years.  She then was a nurse aide at Meadville Hillside Home for several years.  She was of Protestant faith.

Survivors include a granddaughter, Dianne Pertl of Girard; four grandsons, Gary Mason of Pittsburgh, Stephen Mason of Charleston, SC, James Blackhurst of Cincinnati, OH and John Blackhurst of Harborcreek and ten great-grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Rocky Glen Cemetery.
