Gloria (Hoyt-Scull) Polon

Gloria (Hoyt-Scull) Polon, age 70, of Meadville, passed away on Tuesday evening, June 23, 2026, in Rolling Fields Eldercare Community.

She was born in Milwaukee, WI on January 23, 1955, the daughter of Donald and Della (Krupp) Hoyt.

She received her associate’s degree from Scotia Career Academy in Child and Youth Care in 2002.

Gloria was employed as a Pre- K teacher at Heart and Hands Children’s Center, Kingdom Care Chrisitan Academy, and Ebenezer Child Care Center in Milwaukee, WI.

She was a member of the West Allis Police Auxiliary and loved working with kids, light houses, being by the water, and listening to wind chimes.

She is survived by a daughter, Sondra Anderson (Gene) of Epsyville; two sons, Daniel Scull of Milwaukee, Joseph Scull of Saegertown; six grandchildren, Kyle Anderson, Joshua Anderson, Dakota Scull, Michael Scull, Dylan Scull, Jayce Rivera-Scull; Two great-grandchild, Millie and Waylyn Anderson; three brothers, Bruce Hoyt of Milwaukee, Dale Hoyt (Janet) of Milwaukee, Dan Hoyt of Milwaukee; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Linda Derse, and a brother, Bill Hoyt.

Family and Friends will be received on June 27, 2026, from 10:00 AM until the time of service in ROSE AND WAID FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC., 12422 CONNEAUT LAKE RD., CONNEAUT LAKE. A Memorial Service will be held on June 27, 2026, at 11:00 AM in the Funeral Home with Pastor James Erdman officiating.
