Grace M. Straw

Mrs. Grace M. Straw, 73, of Meadville, wife of James O. Shaw, died Thursday, July 12, 1984, at City Hospital after a lengthy illness.

She was born at Carlton, August 23, 1910, a daughter of William C. and Mary Johnson Moore.  She married Mr. Shaw June 1, 1949.

Mrs. Straw was first employed at the former Keystone View Co., and later at Allegheny College.  She was a member of Cochranton United Presbyterian Church; the Mead Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, where she was treasurer of 10 years; the Trinity White Shrine; Meadville Grottoettes and the Order of the Amaranth.

In addition to her husband, survivors include a brother, Francis J. Moore of Meadville; four nieces and nephews and four great-nieces and great-nephews.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Venango Cemetery.
