H. Laverne Luffe

H. LaVerne Luffe, 90, formerly of Stoneboro and Turtle Creek, PA, passed away on May 18, 2022 at her son’s home in Garner, NC. LaVerne was born on September 18, 1931 in North Versailles, PA to the late Isaac James and Mildred (Thorton) Edge. She was a 1948 graduate of Trafford High School. After graduation she worked for Westinghouse in Pittsburgh. She then became a homemaker for her husband and children.

LaVerne was of the Protestant Faith and centered her life around her family. She enjoyed spending time at the McQuiston Center in Sandy Lake while living in the area.

She married her beloved husband, William J. Luffe, Jr., on July 11, 1951, he preceded her in death on March 31, 1996.

She is survived by her loving son and daughter-in-law, David and Patti Luffe of Garner, NC.

In addition to her parents and husband, LaVerne was preceded in death by her son, William Luffe, III.

Local arrangements have been entrusted to Rose and Black Funeral home & Crematory, Stoneboro & Sandy Lake.

Services will be announced at a later date.

Interment will take place in Church Hill Cemetery, Turtle Creek, PA
