Hannah R. Christie, 96, of Meadville, a resident of Wesbury United Methodist Community and a former domestic worker, died Monday, November 23, 1992, at Wesbury following a brief illness.
She was born in Vance Mills, July 11, 1896, a daughter of Karl L. and Caroline A. Voss Schimansky. She married James Christie, March 28, 1922. He preceded her in death December 16, 1955.
She was a former domestic worker, providing child care and housekeeping in the Fox Chapel and Meadville areas for many years. She was a member of Stone Methodist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Thelma Lou Engels of Meadville and Mildred M. Ondrako of Homestead; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Walter Crable and James Christie; and three sisters, Mildred Beibinger, Anna Tompkins and Florence Smith.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in St. Agatha's Cemetery.
