Harold C. Wygant

Harold C. Wygant, 85, of Collins, NY, for the past seven years, a former Meadville, PA resident, died Thursday, April 6, 1995, at Tri-County Memorial Hospital, Gowanda, NY, following a brief illness.

He was born in Guys Mills, PA, September 5, 1909, a son of the late Clayton and Patty (Smith) Wygant.  He married Mildred Louise Bennett July 8, 1933.  She preceded him in death April 6, 1988.

Mr. Wygant was a graduate of Randolph Public Schools, Guys Mills, after which he was employed by Talon, Inc., Meadville for 30 years retiring in 1975 as a machine operator.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Joe (Rose Ann) Anesetti of El Paso, TX; two sons, Raymond S. Wygant of Collins, NY and Richard A. Wygant of Delaware, OH; one sister, Maxine LaComte of Meadville; one brother, Edward Wygant of Deming, NM; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Cleora Steele and Jean Kerr and seven brothers, Lee, Arthur, Floyd, Gilbert, Walter, James and Paul Wygant.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Union Cemetery, Guys Mills.
