Harry B. Muckinhoupt, 86, of Meadville, died at City Hospital Thursday, February 24, 1983, after a one-year illness.
He was born at Meadville October 8, 1896, a son of Charles and Martha Birchard Muckinhoupt. He married Katherine Sherman, who died in September 1977.
He retired in 1963 from Talon, Inc, where he worked as a metallurgist. He also was associated with his father and uncle in the Hudson and Essex automobile agency in Meadville.
A member of First Presbyterian Church, he was a 1919 Allegheny College graduate, a 50-year member of Meadville Masonic Lodge 408, and a charter member of the former Meadville Exchange Club.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Lynn (Marilyn) Snyder of Meadville; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Gertrude Minium and a brother, Dr. Frederick Muckinhoupt.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
